Base Salary
$115k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in prioritization with product and business stakeholders and estimate and own delivery tasks.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, configure, and document scalable software solutions.
- Drive code, design, architecture, and process trade-off discussions within the team.
- Conduct product demonstrations and acceptance discussions with product owners.
- Develop an end-to-end understanding of technical architectures and dependent systems.
- Drive adoption of technology standards and frameworks and review coding, testing, and automation work.
- Mentor and guide new and less-experienced team members.
- Improve engineering processes, reduce waste, and share reusable patterns, libraries, and practices.
- Orchestrate release workflows and pipelines, manage builds and artifacts, and support canary or blue-green deployments.
- Perform performance tuning, monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, and maintenance of highly available production systems.
Requirements
- Experience writing secure code in multiple languages and familiarity with OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT, and vulnerability management.
- Strong understanding of software design, architecture, data structures, algorithms, scalability, maintainability, and distributed systems.
- Experience authoring unit, contract, integration, behavior-driven, and customer-journey tests.
- Experience with code reviews, complex application troubleshooting, and production issues.
- Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders on requirements estimation and prioritization.
- Experience applying domain-driven design to map software solutions to business contexts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline orchestration, automated vulnerability scanning, software composition analysis, build management, and artifact management.
- Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, observability, and highly available production systems.
- Experience developing applications using cryptography is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent work experience; payment industry knowledge is preferred but not required.

- Competitive base salary of $115,000–$184,000 for the O’Fallon, Missouri location, with possible annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
