Base Salary
$115k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software components, automation frameworks, and validation tools.
- Develop Java and Spring Boot microservices and contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
- Participate in software architecture, design patterns, cloud migration, and domain-driven design decisions.
- Develop test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and XLR.
- Create test strategies covering unit, functional, integration, performance, reliability, and production simulation testing.
- Improve code quality, coverage, secure coding, vulnerability detection, and software composition analysis.
- Manage builds, artifacts, release workflows, and production deployments using canary or blue-green techniques.
- Perform performance engineering, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex production issues.
- Conduct code and technical design reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with relational SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL and Oracle SQL.
- Advanced understanding of cloud-native architecture, PCF, and AWS.
- Strong experience in software engineering and quality engineering, including automation, CI/CD, testing, and performance engineering.
- Experience with Linux, web application testing, unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, and code coverage tools.
- Knowledge of software design principles, object-oriented programming, design patterns, microservices, distributed systems, scalability, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with secure coding and application security principles, including OWASP practices.
- Experience with code quality, vulnerability scanning, software composition analysis, build, artifact, and deployment tools.
- Ability to contribute to system architecture and design decisions and apply domain-driven design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaborative teamwork skills.
- Preferred experience includes cloud and microservices architecture, mainframe modernization, reliability and performance engineering, payments, and transaction processing.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is preferred.
