Responsibilities
- Define requirements, design systems, program, test, and deploy software for Rakuten Ichiba.
- Collaborate with PDM, internal teams, and upstream/downstream system teams.
- Monitor system stability and performance and optimize system performance.
- Design and maintain system architectures, perform refactoring, and troubleshoot issues.
- Create documentation including design documents and test cases.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of Java development experience using Spring Framework or Play Framework.
- More than 3 years of RDBMS design and development experience.
- Experience developing and operating web systems.
- Experience with JUnit unit testing, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, design patterns, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
- At least 1 year of experience with web servers such as Apache or nginx and at least 1 year of Unix/Linux experience.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git or SVN.
- Knowledge of web security, system scalability, and sustainability.
- Experience with system operations and stress or performance testing is desired.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, caching or NoSQL technologies such as Redis, Kafka, MQ, and memcache is desired.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins and CircleCI is desired.
- Documentation and English communication skills are required; TOEIC score of 800 or above is noted.
