Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend software and services primarily using Python.
  • Use Azure cloud services, including Functions, App Services, storage, and identity capabilities, to build reliable solutions.
  • Design APIs and integrate backend components with internal and customer-facing platforms.
  • Apply software engineering practices to deliver maintainable, secure, and production-ready solutions.
  • Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues across services and cloud-based workloads.
  • Identify bottlenecks and improve the efficiency, resilience, and observability of backend systems.

Requirements

  • Citizenship in one of the 32 NATO member states.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Solid experience with Python.
  • Understanding of software reusability, maintainability, security, and testing best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of computer systems, including operating systems, networking, and infrastructure.
  • Experience with Azure-native development, API design, and cloud-based architectures is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
