Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain secure Java and Spring Boot backend services for Anti-Financial Crime applications.
- Develop cloud-native microservices, RESTful APIs, and synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven integrations using clean architecture and resilient design patterns.
- Deploy and operate containerized Java workloads on GKE and Cloud Run using Google Cloud services including Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Spanner, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
- Automate testing and CI/CD pipelines, including security scanning, deployments, rollbacks, IAM, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Implement observability, troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and support production services.
- Collaborate with Architecture, DevOps, SRE, Data, Product, and QA teams; participate in code reviews and technical refinement.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying critical judgment to data and AI outputs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot development experience.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, concurrency, JVM fundamentals, design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Ability to design microservices, RESTful APIs, and synchronous, asynchronous, and event-driven integrations.
- Hands-on Google Cloud experience with GKE or Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL or Spanner, IAM, Secret Manager, Logging, and Monitoring.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, relational databases, automated testing, Git, Maven or Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate in Agile teams, contribute to code reviews and technical refinement, and support production services.
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly and critically to solve business problems.
