Responsibilities
- Adapt Normal EDA to customers’ proprietary data, design flows, and tooling.
- Validate generated artifacts against specifications and design evaluations based on real customer workflows.
- Bridge customer engineering artifacts and ML systems to diagnose model, data, and workflow issues.
- Embed with silicon engineers, translate their constraints to internal teams, and shape product and platform direction.
- Make prioritization and quality decisions in situations that are ahead of an established playbook.
- Codify successful engagement patterns for reuse across future customers.
- Bring field insights to Normal’s core ML and product teams to guide model and platform investments.
Requirements
- Track record of shipping ML systems in customer or production environments using real-world data.
- Interest in hardware, electrical engineering, semiconductor design, and chip development; backgrounds in verification or hardware engineering are welcomed.
- Ability to become fluent in UVM testbenches, SystemVerilog codebases, and design specifications.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including proficiency in Python and comfort working in production codebases.
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evaluations, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic patterns, and model deployment.
- Ability to make sound decisions and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Bonus: experience with EDA, semiconductor design flows, verification workflows, UVM, SystemVerilog, or coverage-driven verification.
- Bonus: experience building or leading an FDE or customer-deployment function.
- Bonus: open-source contributions or publications in AI or ML venues.
