Responsibilities
- Build, code, test, deploy, maintain, and improve high-quality full-stack business applications.
- Manage work across the full software delivery lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and support in a DevOps environment.
- Translate user requirements into software requirements and deliver solutions as part of a collaborative engineering team.
- Coach team members, participate in code reviews, and share technical skills and methods.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, software engineers, and operations engineers to identify pain points and outcomes.
- Provide production support during non-office hours.
- Experiment with emerging technologies and assess their potential impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of full-stack software development experience; experience leading a team of software engineers is an advantage.
- Proficiency with Angular, Node.js or React, Azure DB, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3, Java with Spring Boot, AKS, Azure cloud services, Event Grid, IBM iSeries/AS400 architecture, and COBOL/CL.
- Experience with DevOps, RESTful APIs, API versioning, authentication and authorization, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Service Bus, RocketMQ, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Alibaba Cloud, ACK, PolarDB for PostgreSQL, PolarDB for Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis is advantageous.
- Experience with version control, performance optimization, and coding standards.
- Experience in the insurance industry, especially Group Life and Health applications, and understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight schedules.
