Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, debug, and optimize healthcare automation workflows using Boston Software Systems tools and scripting technologies.
- Build scripts, workflows, integrations, and data transformations using VBA, VB.NET, PowerShell, SQL, APIs, and healthcare data formats.
- Gather requirements with clients and stakeholders, translate business needs into automation workflows, and explain technical concepts in business-friendly language.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support for deployed Automation-as-a-Service solutions across multiple healthcare clients.
- Maintain version control, technical documentation, workflow and system configuration records, and compliance with release management standards.
- Apply healthcare security, data management, regulatory, and platform best practices.
- Collaborate with Professional Services, Product, Operations, and Project Management teams to deliver projects on schedule.
- Support system upgrades, deployments, and critical production incidents, including occasional availability outside regular business hours.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in automation development or scripting.
- Advanced VBA and strong VB.NET development experience, including Excel automation, console applications, software libraries, and automation logic.
- Experience with PowerShell, Python or other scripting, batch scripting, Windows environments, virtual machines, Citrix, GUI automation, XPath, and CSS selectors.
- Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and data transformation.
- Knowledge of RPA best practices such as error handling, retry mechanisms, exception logging, and automation workflow support.
- Experience with platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Boston Workstation, Blue Prism, or Microsoft Power Automate is an asset.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7 and X12, and experience with healthcare IT, revenue cycle management, clinical workflows, or EMR/EHR systems, is an asset.
- Experience with enterprise schedulers, monitoring tools, orchestration platforms, OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI, prompt engineering, AI workflow orchestration, AI governance, LangChain, or Semantic Kernel is preferred.
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, organizational, communication, collaboration, ownership, and customer service skills.
- Bilingual French and English communication skills are required for regular communication with clients, vendors, partners, and employees.
