Responsibilities
- Build cloud platform functionality that sets up, manages, and protects networking in Akamai Cloud.
- Design and implement clean, robust, and performant APIs for customers and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain internal libraries and microservices.
- Design, implement, review, document, and test high-quality Python code.
- Contribute to architectural and design documents and mentor other developers.
Requirements
- Experience with mainstream programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or Go.
- Strong skills in writing, testing, and understanding complex software.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
- Experience with technical design, product specification reviews, project and backlog planning.
- Ability to collaborate with team members and communicate with leadership and non-developer stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring other developers.
- Experience with microservices is a bonus.
