Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Acropolis Hypervisor features.
- Improve AHV reliability, performance, and security.
- Address datacenter management and software-defined datacenter challenges.
- Lead feature development from concept through market delivery.
- Interact with open-source communities and cross-functional teams including product management, sales, and support.
- Mentor other software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in computer science or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of industry experience or equivalent research experience.
- Strong coding skills in C and Python for enterprise-quality software.
- Desired coding experience in Rust and Go.
- Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
- Familiarity with operating-system internals and distributed-systems concepts.
- Familiarity with x86 architecture, virtualization, and/or storage and network management.
- Preferred familiarity with KVM and QEMU.
- Preferred experience interacting with open-source communities.
