Responsibilities
- Design, write, validate, and maintain clinical programming software using Medidata Rave, Oracle systems, SAS, and supporting tools.
- Support annotated CRFs, database and eCRF builds, coding configuration, edit checks, imports, exports, listings, custom reports, migrations, and custom functions.
- Lead clinical programming activities for three to ten concurrent studies and serve as the lead Clinical Programmer for assigned studies.
- Coordinate with clients, sponsors, project teams, data managers, analysts, lead programmers, and requestors to finalize specifications and deliverables.
- Provide senior review of study-level, program-level, and multi-study core deliverables for accuracy and quality.
- Provide application administration, technical support, second-tier help desk support, system integration, application updates, and user acceptance testing.
- Monitor workflow alerts, system errors, performance issues, project scope, budgets, resourcing, delivery needs, and potential change orders.
- Attend sponsor audits, assist with audits, provide training and guidance, and support other department members.
- Maintain required specifications, programming, validation, project, and change-order documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in clinical programming.
- End-to-end clinical programming experience in Medidata Rave, including study and database builds, eCRF builds, edit-check programming, migrations, and custom functions.
- At least two years of custom function experience.
- Study-leading experience, including amendments and publishing checks and migrations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrix-structured environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with sponsors and internal customers at all levels.
- Experience with PL/SQL, SAS, C#, or VB preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email, and voicemail.
- Availability to travel as necessary, up to 25%.
