Base Salary
$94k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, test, and install complex technical solutions for the investment services platform.
- Investigate and resolve complex application, system, and production issues through troubleshooting.
- Conduct systems analysis and recommend operational, policy, and procedure improvements.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and software lifecycle activities.
- Design and implement system specifications, standards, APIs, and scalable application solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and potentially peer engineers.
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, four additional years of experience in lieu of the degree, or an approved certification from CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT.
- At least four years of software development experience demonstrating depth in relevant technologies.
- At least two years delivering technology solutions across all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle, including leading code and design reviews.
- Basic understanding of at least one listed programming or markup technology, including Java, JavaScript, SQL, Go, Python, or related options.
- Experience supporting production issue resolution, articulating technical challenges and solutions, and understanding cloud technologies and tools.
- Extensive Java full-stack development experience, including enterprise applications, batch processing, and Groovy.
- Experience designing APIs with Spring Boot and Docker and building scalable containerized applications.
- Experience with Gradle or Maven, Git, and CI/CD frameworks, particularly GitLab CI.
- Experience with automated testing and a strong commitment to Test-Driven Development.
- Experience with OpenShift and preferably AWS.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, event-driven architectures, data pipelines, real-time streaming, batch processing, data integration, and data warehousing such as Snowflake.
- Experience with workflow or BPM technologies such as Flowable or EWL and integrations such as DocuSign.
- Solution design and architecture experience involving scalable, performant, secure applications and non-functional requirements.
- US military experience through military service or military spouse/domestic partner status is a preferred qualification.
