Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and architecture of custom software solutions.
- Assess business initiatives and provide solution options, assumptions, risks, and rough order of magnitude estimates.
- Define end-to-end architectures aligned with business objectives and technology capabilities.
- Gather requirements and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Establish architecture guardrails, design standards, and implementation approaches.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reusable, maintainable, resilient, and cost effective.
- Support prioritization, planning, delivery, solution reviews, and production support.
- Guide development, testing, deployment, and root cause analysis activities.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Strong experience designing enterprise-scale business and technology solutions.
- Experience designing solutions using RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, AWS cloud-native and serverless architecture patterns, and event-driven architecture.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, integration patterns, APIs, cloud technologies, and modern architecture principles.
- Experience defining non-functional requirements covering security, scalability, performance, availability, and maintainability.
- Ability to communicate architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence cross-functional alignment.
- Experience producing architectural artifacts using approaches and frameworks such as C4 Model and UML.
- Preferred experience includes large-scale enterprise environments, enterprise architecture frameworks, governance, digital transformation, modernization, platform initiatives, customer-centric product development, service design, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience with Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, or similar delivery methodologies.
