Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test automation solutions for Smart TV and streaming products.
- Create, execute, and report on automated tests for video playback, content discovery, streaming integrity, parental controls, network handling, audio/video synchronization, and device interoperability.
- Maintain automation infrastructure by selecting tools, configuring environments, and integrating with version control systems.
- Develop BDD test plans and integrate automated testing with CI/CD pipelines on RDK stacks.
- Automate onboarding and testing for Smart TVs and streaming devices, AirPlay, ATSC, Bluetooth, HDMI input, Deep Sleep mode, VOD, linear channels, and native apps.
- Identify root causes of defects and optimize test coverage using risk-based testing, equivalence partitioning, and critical-path prioritization.
- Lead quality-release strategy definition and drive process improvements, observability, operationalisation, and full lifecycle ownership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and other team activities.
Requirements
- Expert-level full-stack development experience with Java, Python, and JavaScript.
- Strong experience developing automation solutions with Cypress and Automatics Framework.
- Deep analytical skills in defect root-cause identification for Smart TV and streaming-device products.
- Strong experience testing streaming applications, audio/video synchronization, interoperability, user experience, AirPlay, ATSC, Bluetooth, HDMI, VOD, linear channels, and native apps.
- Strong DevOps practices and full lifecycle ownership experience.
- Strong BDD, test automation, test infrastructure, reliability engineering, and test coverage optimization experience.
- Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks for test development, execution, and reporting.
- Understanding of Business-Driven Development strategy.
- Experience leading quality strategy definition and driving product-release process improvements.
