Responsibilities

  • Translate complex functional and technical requirements into software designs.
  • Influence feature and enhancement prioritization.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality software improvements and features.
  • Participate in architecture decisions and design reviews.
  • Own platform operations and improve system performance, scalability, availability, and robustness.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers and Network Development Engineers to demonstrate and iterate on solutions.
  • Investigate system health and customer issues and provide operational insights.
  • Contribute code to alarm definitions, optimization algorithms, and new features.
  • Share technical knowledge across the Internet Edge Services organization.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
