Java AWS Software Engineer III
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
- Develop and maintain algorithms and software that integrate reliably with supporting systems.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering productivity.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets, create visualizations and reporting, and use findings to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Guide peers on responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs and outputs.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using Java, Spring Boot, and database querying languages.
- Production experience with Kafka messaging and streaming architectures and event-driven API design at scale.
- Hands-on AWS development experience with ECS, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, Route 53, NLB, ALB, and API Gateway.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies, including application resiliency and security.
- Preferred: familiarity with React.
- Preferred: experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK for Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Preferred: AWS certification such as Developer Associate or Solutions Architect, or higher.
