Base Salary
$220k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize integrations between AI models and government systems.
- Identify pain points and scope product specifications for AI-powered software.
- Benchmark models and develop evaluation frameworks to assess performance.
- Enhance model performance through prompt tuning and fine-tuning.
- Analyze request logs and system outputs for reliability and audibility.
- Build internal tooling to automate tasks in secure environments.
- Partner with agency stakeholders to prototype solutions and iterate based on feedback.
- Ship production-grade code with a focus on speed and measurable impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, computer engineering, physics, or data science.
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Active Top-Secret or Top-Secret SCI clearance.
- Demonstrated success working with government agencies on AI projects.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience in high reliability environments.
- Expertise in designing and maintaining scalable AI-driven solutions.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of HTTP protocol and secure API design.
- Experience building evaluation frameworks for AI systems.
- Deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals.
- History of deploying machine learning models in secure environments.
- Expertise in writing developer documentation for technical audiences.
- Ability to work with massive datasets and optimize system performance.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
