Base Salary
$220k - $350k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize integrations between frontier AI models and government systems, platforms, and data environments.
- Scope product requirements and build AI-powered software for government and enterprise use cases.
- Benchmark models and develop evaluation frameworks to assess performance, weaknesses, and compliance with customer standards.
- Improve model performance through system prompt tuning or fine-tuning and support secure, scalable deployment.
- Analyze request logs, prompt data, and system outputs for reliability and auditability.
- Build internal tooling to automate workflows in secure environments.
- Partner with agency stakeholders to understand requirements, prototype solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
- Ship production-grade code and features for high-stakes, mission-critical workloads.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, computer engineering, physics, or data science.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience building scalable systems, APIs, or AI/ML applications.
- Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance.
- Experience with AI or machine learning products, APIs, backend systems, and frontend interfaces is preferred.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript is preferred.
- Understanding of HTTP, secure API design, machine learning fundamentals, model evaluation, training, and fine-tuning is preferred.
- Experience deploying machine learning models to production and working with evaluation frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with government agencies, DoD, federal contractors, regulated environments, or secure cloud deployments is preferred.
- Experience with large datasets, performance optimization, high-throughput workloads, SDKs, developer documentation, Pulumi, or Terraform is preferred.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements and communicate effectively in English.
