Responsibilities
- Become the expert on the team’s business and technical domains.
- Lead the planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects.
- Collaborate with partners, product managers, designers, and engineers to solve problems and improve technology.
- Implement step-wise migrations of existing services and applications.
- Own small to medium features or infrastructure projects from technical design through completion with limited guidance.
- Work independently across the codebase while writing stable, correct, modular, adaptable, and maintainable code.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience using a variety of technologies, with increasingly impactful accomplishments.
- Demonstrate experience proposing, experimenting with, and iterating on technologies and data structures.
- Have experience making technical contributions and building fault-tolerant, scalable software systems.
- Demonstrate solid understanding of the practical application of computer science concepts.
- Consistently write stable, correct, and maintainable code with little oversight.
- Preferred experience includes supporting libraries and writing Python and Golang.
- Preferred experience includes owning observability stack tooling such as Grafana, BigQuery, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience includes data and engineering tooling such as discovery libraries, data replication, data transfer tools, and authentication and authorization libraries.
