Responsibilities
- Maintain global Tyk Cloud within defined and evolving service objectives.
- Identify and resolve reliability issues with the engineering squad.
- Expand the platform’s multi-region and multi-cloud capabilities.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide first-line incident management for clients.
- Create metrics, dashboards, monitoring, and logging improvements.
- Conduct post-incident analysis and document operational knowledge and SRE processes.
- Automate common operational and support tasks.
- Recommend and implement changes that improve operational efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Assist with cloud penetration testing through provider coordination, technical details, and environment setup.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across processes, communication, estimation, and customer collaboration.
Requirements
- Experience launching and operating production-scale Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience designing and operating infrastructure on AWS and other cloud providers.
- Experience operating MongoDB or other document database clusters.
- Experience operating Redis or other key-value storage clusters.
- Experience administering Linux servers and maintaining distributed software.
- Experience operating Prometheus and Grafana and managing logging collection and analysis systems.
- Advanced Kubernetes, containers, AWS/EKS, and Linux skills.
- Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure as code and with Helm.
- Familiarity with Go, MongoDB, Redis, Prometheus, Grafana, and Thanos.
- Understanding of networking concepts including subnets, routing, peering, load balancing, and NAT, as well as DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, and UDP.
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive, energetic, innovative, and change-oriented approach.
- Nice-to-have experience with GCP or Azure, bare-metal infrastructure engineering, API management, large-scale distributed storage, Rancher, and production Go software.
- CKA, CKAD, or CKS certification is a nice-to-have qualification.
