Responsibilities
- Build and maintain foundational platform tools, systems, and shared infrastructure.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters, AWS infrastructure, Terraform configuration, and open-source platform components.
- Design and implement backend APIs and controllers that provide self-service infrastructure capabilities to engineers.
- Develop software for infrastructure migrations, high-scale traffic management, and security tooling.
- Improve platform reliability, performance, scalability, and developer experience.
- Investigate complex distributed-system issues and help other platform teams use cloud infrastructure effectively.
Requirements
- Significant professional software engineering experience building, testing, and deploying robust backend services using strongly typed languages.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes.
- Experience solving problems through automation and using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
- Understanding of how modern distributed applications fail and scale.
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
