Base Salary
$160k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build features for game developers across the Discord app, developer portal, APIs, realtime infrastructure, and Social SDK.
- Write, review, and ship elegant, scalable code with other engineers.
- Own projects from initial design through post-launch, including defining tasks, milestones, and delivery.
- Work with game developer partners as a technical resource and collaborate with Developer Relations to answer questions.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and partner managers to define solutions.
- Raise the quality bar of the software through attention to detail.
Requirements
- At least 1–3 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience with game development.
- Experience with some of Python, Elixir, Rust, TypeScript/React, or C++.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work through ambiguity.
- Experience using AI coding tools to improve productivity.
- Familiarity with Unity or Unreal is a bonus.
- Mobile development experience is optional bonus experience.
