Base Salary
$178k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and prioritize security problems suitable for automated detection.
- Develop detection prototypes and services that automate cybersecurity threat mitigation.
- Identify opportunities to prevent security issues across AWS infrastructure at scale.
- Use programming, scripting, log analysis, and security code review to investigate and address risks.
- Advocate for new technologies and develop solutions for complex security risks.
- Mentor teammates technically and professionally.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks with command-line tools.
- At least 5 years of experience identifying security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans.
- At least 4 years of non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review in common programming languages.
- Knowledge of at least two of Scala, Java, Python, C, C++, or Go.
- Non-internship industry experience identifying security vulnerabilities, attack patterns, and remediation techniques.
- Preferred experience with security in service-oriented architectures, microservices, and web services.
- Preferred experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and SQS.
- Preferred experience with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or EMR.
- Preferred experience using GuardDuty, CloudTrail, VPCFlow, and R53 Resolver Logs for detection engineering or incident response.
