Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python software that automates Snowflake data-platform management, including user access, permissions, and resource utilization.
- Design and improve Snowflake integrations with other systems using Python, APIs, and Snowflake connectors.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform to automate deployment and scaling of data-infrastructure components.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable data models and database schemas.
- Guide the development of a robust, scalable, and secure data ecosystem for Disney’s streaming and digital products.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of database technology, relational databases, and SQL.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform, and CI/CD or automation tools.
- Exceptional problem-solving ability and capacity to learn new technologies quickly.
- Either 5+ years of relevant professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 3+ years of relevant professional experience and a master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred: expertise in complex-system design, architectural decision-making, and Snowflake architecture, management, and key features.
