Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable data infrastructure pipelines, frameworks, platform tooling, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Design and build data platforms using Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory, and Data Warehouse technologies.
  • Collaborate on integration patterns across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers.
  • Manage Azure Key Vault, Unity Catalog, multiple workspaces, and related security practices.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Terraform.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues in data pipelines and queries.
  • Participate in scrum ceremonies and deliver work reliably within an agile team.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers and collaborate with global cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for production support coverage.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a cloud environment, with Azure preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and PySpark, plus strong SQL and query optimization skills.
  • Working experience with Databricks and Delta Lake.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory or comparable pipeline and orchestration tooling.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Exposure to Unity Catalog, medallion architecture, or enterprise data governance concepts.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tooling.
  • Experience with enterprise scheduling platforms such as Tidal.
  • Exposure to BI platforms such as Power BI at the data layer.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, analytical problem-solving, autonomy, and cross-time-zone working skills.
