Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and implement performance test scenarios based on non-functional requirements and testing guidelines.
- Automate performance test scenarios using functional and performance test scripts within the non-functional testing framework.
- Maintain traceability across non-functional requirements, performance scenarios, and defects, and track defects through closure.
- Review test scenarios, report results, supervise execution, and identify environmental and test-data requirements.
- Support CI/CD pipeline adoption for performance testing and improve testing practices and coverage.
- Analyze and tune performance across distributed platforms, including Linux, Windows, AWS, containers, and VMware.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, business, and testing teams to improve scalability and performance.
- Mentor team members on performance test coverage, scenarios, and non-functional requirements.
- Apply risk and control processes to daily responsibilities and escalate issues appropriately.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
- Experience with JMS and IBM MQ messaging systems, including MQ administration.
- Experience testing multi-technology end-to-end systems, including distributed and mainframe environments.
- Experience in performance analysis, testing, and tuning, including n-tier and J2EE applications.
- Experience with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, CloudWatch, or TeamQuest for distributed-platform performance analysis.
- Knowledge of statistical and analytical modeling, descriptive statistics, graphical analysis, queuing networks, and simulation modeling.
- Experience with TeamQuest, Metron-Athenee, HyPerformix, or BMC analytical modeling tools.
- Understanding of RESTful web services, JSON, XML, and relational databases, preferably Oracle.
- Experience with AWS services such as Kinesis, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and testing with Jenkins or a similar tool.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office, including Excel statistical functions and PowerPoint presentations.
- Experience working with Agile teams, preferably Scrum; financial-services experience is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of performance and volume metric relationships.
