Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design, implementation, security, and reliability of scalable platform solutions.
- Define reference architectures, module catalogs, and paved-road templates for cloud-native platforms.
- Design and implement automation strategies for multi-team and multi-cloud environments.
- Lead client workshops and architecture discussions while driving platform best practices.
- Secure automated deployment pipelines and ensure compliance, high availability, and supply-chain hardening.
- Own platform domains across multiple teams and support the broader product organization.
- Coach and mentor engineers and contribute to meetups, conferences, and internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing and managing complex Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters in enterprise environments, including Kubernetes Operators.
- Deep understanding of GitOps and experience implementing infrastructure workflows with Argo CD or Flux.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
- Expertise in securing CI/CD pipelines and software supply chains.
- Fluent English and German language skills.
- Preferred qualifications include multi-cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; programming with Python, Golang, or Rust; and FinOps experience involving cost allocation, optimization, or Karpenter.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, consult with clients, communicate complex topics clearly, and anticipate technical risks.
