Responsibilities

  • Own user interfaces end-to-end from wireframes and prototypes through production-ready code.
  • Design and implement features, capabilities, visualizations, and products across the stack.
  • Translate simulation outputs, test results, and AI behavior data into intuitive visualizations.
  • Establish and evolve reusable component libraries across multiple frontends.
  • Review colleagues’ code contributions, proposals, and RFCs.
  • Integrate with backend systems, primarily written in Rust, as needed.
  • Develop tests and benchmarks at micro and macro levels to improve robustness.
  • Mentor colleagues, participate in interviewing, and contribute to technical learning sessions.
  • Present work at weekly demo sessions and collaborate with product and UX colleagues.

Requirements

  • Strong frontend design and coding experience with JavaScript.
  • State-of-the-art experience with frameworks such as React.
  • Strong user research and prototyping skills for technical products and data-heavy interfaces.
  • Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs and server-client communication.
  • Comfort navigating unfamiliar backends, ideally with exposure to Rust.
  • Ability to write legible, maintainable, and performant code.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate through code review and pair programming.
  • Comfort working asynchronously through pull requests, RFCs, and email discussions.
  • Nice-to-have experience includes React, Next.js/SSR, modern JavaScript bundlers such as Vite, TailwindCSS, D3.js or custom charting, aerospace or defense software, simulation, model monitoring, or developer tools.
