Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Kotlin/JVM backend tools, console applications, utilities, and automation pipelines.
- Develop and support Python-based Blender rendering pipelines for scene processing, automation, and production rendering.
- Build platform components for catalog preparation, processing pipeline execution, 3D model conversion, and internal production workflows.
- Create tooling for 3D content processing, geometry, scene preparation, wall generation, model conversion, and other math-heavy tasks.
- Research and evaluate technologies related to 3D, rendering, media formats, data processing, and production automation.
- Process API, database, JSON, XML, image, video, and 2D/3D asset data into different formats.
- Import and export 2D/3D data using DXF, DWG, and BLEND formats and develop Blender plugins.
- Build high-performance parallel and concurrent processing pipelines that maximize CPU and GPU utilization.
- Write maintainable, high-performance code with automated tests, code reviews, clean architecture, and SOLID principles.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with Java and/or Kotlin on the JVM.
- Practical Python experience and willingness to work deeply with Python-based Blender rendering pipelines.
- Understanding of the JVM ecosystem, including Gradle, dependency management, modular code structure, debugging, profiling, logging, and performance optimization.
- Solid SQL knowledge, including SQLite, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, clean architecture, and maintainable code design.
- Ability to solve math-heavy, data-heavy, and algorithmic problems and turn them into stable production solutions.
- Ability to write clean, reliable, high-performance code and test critical logic.
- Knowledge of Linux, common tools, and the Linux ecosystem.
- Fluent English.
- Preferred: experience with C or C++, Spring, Dagger, JUnit, Apache Commons, OpenGL, WebGL, ray tracing, Blender, mathematics, geometry, computer vision, Kubernetes, and Docker.
