Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and manage highly available cloud infrastructure optimized for heavy compute workloads and high-concurrency applications.
- Implement modular infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation for secure, low-latency, multi-region environments.
- Architect and maintain high-performance cloud storage, data synchronization, backup strategies, and throughput optimization.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and auto-scaling for workload orchestrators, container platforms, and core services.
- Enforce Zero Trust security, secure IAM roles, and automated configuration management for hardened operating-system images.
- Support complex infrastructure and platform issues, document automated workflows, and mentor junior team members.
- Architect and deploy HPC workloads, optimize spot-instance usage and Savings Plans, and monitor infrastructure and application performance.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for software and infrastructure deployment.
Requirements
- Proven experience architecting, deploying, and maintaining production-grade, highly scalable workloads on AWS.
- Deep expertise in Terraform and CloudFormation for modular, version-controlled infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of high-performance and distributed cloud storage such as Amazon FSx, EFS, EBS, and NetApp ONTAP.
- Expert proficiency with Enterprise Linux distributions including RHEL, Rocky, and Ubuntu, plus systems-level troubleshooting.
- Professional proficiency in Python or Bash for automation tooling, monitoring scripts, and system integrations.
- Deep understanding of enterprise IAM patterns, including Active Directory and LDAP integration across hybrid environments.
- Ability to explain infrastructure scaling decisions to development teams and leadership.
- Experience with AWS HPC workloads using AWS ParallelCluster, SOCA, or custom Slurm fleets is desirable.
- Experience with cost optimization, monitoring tools, and automated CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Relevant certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking.
