Responsibilities
- Provide senior architectural leadership, direction, governance, and technical thought leadership for complex enterprise solutions.
- Organize technical dependencies across portfolios and develop solution designs, reference architectures, technology standards, patterns, and decision frameworks.
- Partner with business leaders, product owners, product managers, architecture teams, development teams, service owners, and external vendors.
- Facilitate proofs of concept, solution prototypes, technology evaluations, technical research, and risk mitigation activities.
- Present and justify architecture designs, communicate architectural changes, and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure project designs align with approved technology standards, architecture governance, security, scalability, and business outcomes.
- Mentor other architects on architecture methods, communication techniques, and business acumen.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or six years of relevant work experience in lieu of the degree.
- Five years of technical expertise in mainframe and/or open systems environments, including system software, application software, and databases.
- Five years of enterprise technology experience with technical leadership, decision-making, application development, or infrastructure services.
- Five years of IT solutions delivery experience and five years of consultative solutions architecture and support services experience.
- At least one year of experience using modeling languages and at least one year of experience as a Solutions Architect.
- Knowledge of data lakehouse architectures, cloud data warehousing, healthcare data exchange standards, REST API frameworks, Java, Python, Spark, advanced SQL, GitHub, DevOps practices, YAML, and Terraform.
- Preferred knowledge includes healthcare industry experience, Databricks Medallion architecture, SAS, Teradata, SAFe Architect, and ArchiMate.
