Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable software systems and services.
- Lead technical design and delivery for distributed enterprise systems, including architecture reviews, service decomposition, API design, event-driven integrations, and data modeling.
- Own services throughout implementation, CI/CD automation, deployment, observability, operational health, and production support.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, development quality, testing, and documentation while reviewing generated output for correctness, security, and maintainability.
- Develop deterministic and scalable unit, integration, contract, and edge-case test suites.
- Monitor and improve production service reliability, availability, and performance using telemetry, logging, metrics, and operational insights.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, platform, security, and business stakeholders to deliver complex systems and features.
- Apply responsible AI principles involving privacy, transparency, auditability, governance, and compliance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, APIs, operational processes, and business-critical logic.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production-grade applications and services.
- Strong proficiency in one or more of Java, C#, Python, Go, or Kotlin.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems and microservices-based architectures.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, design patterns, testing methodologies, and system design principles.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server in transactional or high-scale environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems such as GitHub, and Agile development workflows.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools in a modern software development workflow.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, observability and production operations, automated testing strategies, compliance-sensitive systems, and AI-powered production integrations.
- Preferred understanding of responsible AI principles, including governance, explainability, privacy, and risk mitigation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, plus the ability to drive projects independently and influence technical direction across teams.
