Responsibilities
- Bring up RTOS platforms and develop BSPs for ARM Cortex-M cores, including MPU configuration and inter-core communication.
- Develop, test, and maintain MCU drivers for peripherals such as ADC, SPI, and clock systems.
- Develop and validate communication stacks and their integration into host systems.
- Develop drivers for complex ICs and integrate-test MCU and FPGA interfaces.
- Establish and maintain the embedded MCU toolchain and CI infrastructure, including HiL and automated test equipment control.
- Own design documentation, validate requirements, and coordinate with electronics, systems, test, and EGSE teams.
- Debug embedded hardware and software failures using tools such as JTAG, serial consoles, logic analysers, and oscilloscopes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong embedded C and C++ programming experience.
- Experience bringing up RTOS platforms on Cortex-M cores, including ThreadX/Azure RTOS, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or an equivalent.
- Hands-on firmware development and embedded platform bring-up experience.
- Experience with communication protocols and stacks including SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet IP/TCP.
- Knowledge of safety-critical design principles and familiarity with RAMS aspects.
- Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, attention to detail, and laboratory problem-debugging skills.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for embedded hardware targets is a plus.
- Experience with TSN, FPGA, VHDL, Python, Bash, space standards such as ECSS, MIL-STD, and NASA-HBK, and functional-safety standards such as ISO 26262 and DO-178C is a plus.
