Responsibilities
- Define and communicate future-state architecture, technical vision, system design patterns, and architectural runway for the platform ARTs.
- Design and champion architectural enablers covering cloud infrastructure, microservices, security, and data architecture.
- Define, monitor, and enforce non-functional requirements for security, scalability, availability, performance, and maintainability.
- Identify technical debt, prioritize remediation, and lead architectural spikes or technology evaluations.
- Establish engineering standards including DevSecOps, test-driven development, automated testing, and API-first design.
- Coordinate PI execution with the Release Train Engineer and ensure delivery of technical milestones and architectural enablers.
- Manage cross-team technical dependencies, program-level risks, architectural blockers, infrastructure issues, and stakeholder communications.
- Partner with Product Managers and Product Owners to maintain a delivery-ready program backlog.
- Translate architecture, non-functional requirements, and security mandates into actionable features and user stories.
- Lead technical activities for PI Planning, ART Sync, System Demo, and Inspect & Adapt ceremonies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, system design, and enterprise-scale architecture.
- Deep hands-on experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework environment.
- Expertise designing and deploying cloud-native architectures using ECS and AWS, along with microservices and event-driven systems.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Kubernetes and Docker, and modern data architectures.
- Ability to guide senior engineers and architects, translate architecture into execution plans, influence without direct authority, and solve systemic technical blockers.
- Preferred certifications include SAFe System Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, SAFe Release Train Engineer, or PMP.
