Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own product features end to end across Nexus and the Fireworks platform, including routing, FireConnect integrations, cost observability, enterprise controls, the developer console, APIs, the model playground, fine-tuning workflows, and billing.
- Build real-time request-routing and migration systems that direct routine work to open models while preserving quality and controlling costs.
- Extend FireConnect and Anthropic- and OpenAI-compatible APIs to support low-friction adoption in existing developer tools.
- Improve caching and infrastructure paths to deliver material AI cost savings.
- Develop frontend, backend, API, and data-layer functionality for polished production products.
- Build products that adapt to new models, serving paths, consumption models, enterprise controls, and multi-agent harness tooling.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Applied Research, Growth, Data, and Design teams.
- Instrument features, analyze real usage, identify friction, and iterate on the product.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience, including meaningful time building and shipping user-facing products.
- Strong full-stack skills across React/TypeScript, Python, Go or similar backend technologies, APIs, and databases.
- Track record of shipping developer-facing products such as APIs, dashboards, consoles, CLIs, or developer tools.
- Ability to own work end to end, from scoping ambiguous problems through deployment and iteration.
- Strong product instincts focused on developer experience.
- Ability to work at high velocity, make pragmatic trade-offs, and operate with extreme ownership.
- Preferred experience building products on complex infrastructure, inference platforms, cloud services, data platforms, or ML tooling.
- Preferred experience building API-centric products for deeply technical users.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, founder-led environment.
- Experience using AI tools daily and understanding high-quality AI developer experiences.
