Senior Software Engineer -SSIS, Informatica PowerCenter,
Wells FargoResponsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using SSIS, Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IDMC/IICS, SQL, and Python.
- Lead modernization and migration initiatives from PowerCenter and SSIS to IDMC/IICS and Python-based data processing frameworks.
- Build Python utilities, automation frameworks, and data integration capabilities for ingestion, validation, reconciliation, logging, monitoring, and orchestration.
- Develop data integration processes across relational databases, flat files, APIs, cloud storage, and SaaS platforms.
- Implement data transformations, cleansing, enrichment, data quality, error handling, audit logging, restartability, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, data modelers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Support production deployments, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous performance improvements.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and the development of ETL and data engineering standards.
- Use enterprise scheduling and orchestration tools such as Control-M, Autosys, SQL Agent, and Informatica Scheduler.
- Create technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge-sharing materials while following data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead projects, serve as an escalation point, and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SSIS development and administration.
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica IDMC/IICS, including CDI, CAI, Mass Ingestion, and Data Quality.
- Advanced SQL experience with SQL Server and Oracle.
- Python experience including Pandas, PySpark, and automation frameworks.
- Experience with legacy-to-modern ETL migrations, data warehousing, automation, performance optimization, and production support.
- Ability to design, code, test, debug, document, and deploy technology solutions.
- Ability to lead moderately complex initiatives, resolve technical challenges, and guide less experienced staff.
