Responsibilities
- Architect and lead the planning, design, and development of new software solutions.
- Design and implement reusable services that are scalable, secure, performant, and cost-effective to operate.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership to development and design teams and oversee technical aspects of projects.
- Develop and manage engineering tools, DevOps SDLC automation, CI/CD workflows, and engineering service integrations.
- Define coding standards, software development best practices, technical roadmaps, and engineering excellence metrics.
- Mentor software development team members and advise executives on current and future technology usage.
- Explore new technologies, create proofs of concept, and incorporate useful innovations into the platform.
- Develop backend databases, schemas, APIs, automation, and test automation frameworks.
- Perform other assigned duties and comply with company policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- Typically 10+ years of hands-on object-oriented programming experience in Java or Python.
- Experience with the software development life cycle, engineering tools management, DevOps SDLC automation, and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD workflows, API programming, and engineering services automation at scale.
- Expertise with engineering tools including JFrog, SonarQube, Harness, Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian Marketplace solutions.
- Knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs, code security, SCA, SAST, and DAST solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud-native DevOps platforms, engineering tool integrations, observability, and API solutions.
- Experience with source code management, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, GitHub Copilot, repository migrations, and toolchain consolidation.
- Advanced backend database development skills, including SQL programming, schema design, implementation, and optimization.
- Experience designing test automation frameworks and using Playwright and BrowserStack, with knowledge of unit testing, code coverage analysis, and quality gates.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software, define best practices, and align technical roadmaps with strategic objectives.
- Experience establishing KPI metric frameworks, optimizing workflows, and driving data-informed decisions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, inspire teams, and work within Agile practices.
