Responsibilities
- Manage and evolve AWS/Azure cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters, including capacity planning, autoscaling, reliability, incident response, and post-mortems.
- Design scalable infrastructure for AI-driven analytics and high-volume data processing.
- Build and maintain Helm charts, Terraform configurations, and multi-environment deployments.
- Own monitoring and alerting using Prometheus/Mimir, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
- Administer PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Redis, and support RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, and Temporal.
- Implement infrastructure security through secrets management, IAM policies, vulnerability scanning, and encryption.
- Own network design and configuration across VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Monitor cloud spending, identify waste, right-size resources, and report on cost efficiency.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and use AI-assisted development practices with appropriate code validation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
- Hands-on experience with most of the stated stack, including AWS, Azure or GCP, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub CI, Terraform, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Redis, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, Temporal, Prometheus/Mimir, Grafana, and CloudWatch.
- Strong Linux fundamentals and Bash and/or Python scripting skills.
- Practical experience using Claude Code or agentic coding, including validating AI-generated code.
- Availability aligned with the US Eastern time zone and fluency in English.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities with strong attention to detail and ownership.
- Preferred: Go or Python development experience, Vault, Packer, ClickHouse administration, and experience supporting data-intensive pipelines.
