Responsibilities
- Develop software and AI-based capabilities for semi-autonomous platforms.
- Build enabling infrastructure for real-time localisation, navigation, and perception.
- Solve complex engineering problems under significant technical, operational, and safety constraints.
- Design reliable software and explain architectural decisions and trade-offs.
- Collaborate through code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Communicate complex architectural decisions clearly in written and spoken English to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Investigate unfamiliar systems deeply and solve problems independently with code.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineers, including through code review and pair programming.
- Reason about and write code independently without relying on LLMs where their use is restricted.
- Demonstrate interest in the ethical considerations of software engineering.
- Preferred experience includes Python and Rust.
- Preferred familiarity includes REST, GraphQL, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Arrow, container-based and cloud-native architectures, edge applications, hardware interfaces such as Arduino, and robotics or control systems.
