Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservice-based applications.
- Define integration patterns between internal and external systems and contribute to distributed-systems and application architecture decisions.
- Develop backend solutions primarily with Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Contribute to frontend applications using TypeScript, Nuxt, and NuxtUI when required.
- Build and operate cloud-native workloads on Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run.
- Define and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, Test-Driven Development, automated testing, and Clean Code practices.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
- Use AI-assisted software engineering tools and practices to improve productivity, quality, testing, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders and document technical solutions using Confluence.
- Manage development activities using Jira, Git, and GitLab.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and service-to-service integrations.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native application development, including Cloud Run or similar platforms.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Understanding of Test-Driven Development, Clean Code, code reviews, pair programming, and continuous integration and delivery.
- Experience with Git-based development workflows, preferably GitLab.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence in collaborative development environments.
- Experience incorporating AI tools into software engineering workflows.
- Nice to have: TypeScript, Single Page Application development, Nuxt, NuxtUI, broader full-stack development, and containerized or serverless cloud environments.
