Responsibilities
- Develop, test, refactor, maintain, and document software applications.
- Write code and API specifications, conduct code reviews, and build proof-of-concept and automation tools.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement product solutions.
- Participate in Agile user story analysis, design, development, testing, and sprint activities.
- Define test conditions from requirements and specifications and participate in automated testing.
- Analyze software and system processing flows and document technical and functional specifications.
- Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies and improve code structure, quality, and user experience.
- Present and defend designs and milestone deliverables to peers and executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent, or a master’s in computer applications or equivalent.
- 8 to 12 years of professional experience.
- Experience designing and coding across one or more platforms and programming languages.
- Hands-on expertise in application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Experience with distributed multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.
- Confirmed experience with object-oriented design and coding across multiple languages.
- Advanced understanding of technical and functional principles and the tools used to plan, analyze, build, test, configure, and maintain applications.
- Working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and Postman is advantageous.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and Agile or other rapid application development methods.
- Ability to solve problems creatively and analyze, design, develop, test, and implement system applications.
