Base Salary
$161k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, architectural direction, and engineering guidance across multiple software engineering areas.
- Lead major initiatives involving software architecture, engineering processes, system administration, and operational excellence.
- Partner across teams to identify and resolve critical technical challenges, risks, and dependencies.
- Mentor and develop engineers through coaching, technical leadership, and collaborative problem solving.
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and approaches to improve platforms, engineering efficiency, and business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience as permitted by the posting.
- 10 years of software development experience, including pioneering new engineering approaches and technologies.
- Experience with web-based applications and web services, including Java, REST, SQL, Git, and third-party product integration.
- Expert understanding of software development practices, including coding, testing, algorithms, complexity, security, system design, reuse, and tools.
- Ability to design and implement solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
- Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies and delivery models.
- Experience designing and operating software in public cloud environments with attention to scale, reliability, cost optimization, and performance metrics.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-influence, technical risk-management, and team-development abilities.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree or PhD, experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, AWS, Salesforce, cloud telephony, CTI, SIP/VoIP, QoS, IVRs, call recording, enterprise contact centers, distance learning environments, and relevant technical certifications.
