Responsibilities
- Perform subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, subsystem integration, system integration, and testing.
- Participate in software requirements, preliminary design, critical design, integration readiness, and software acceptance reviews.
- Research problems and develop solutions for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.
- Collaborate with a software engineering team using an agile development methodology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in real-time mission-critical development, maintenance, or support and related areas including system integration, data analysis, safety analysis, tools development, and problem analysis.
- Experience with object-oriented design and development and design patterns.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Windows, Solaris, Linux, Solaris or other UNIX scripting, IDEs such as Eclipse, UML, and driver-based or automated test environments.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance or other required authorization.
- ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 processes, and assembler experience are preferred.
