Responsibilities
- Drive mission-critical software projects with direct impact on Priceline’s business.
- Design and develop backend systems and REST APIs serving high-volume travel searches.
- Build low-latency and high-throughput transactional services using Java.
- Write SQL compositions and queries for real-time application investigation and analysis.
- Design and architect complex, highly scalable, performance-driven applications.
- Lead, mentor, and guide developers on engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders on product and technical solutions.
- Work with cloud platforms, Spring Framework, web services, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering and development.
- Exceptional Java coding experience.
- Strong SQL composition and query-analysis skills.
- Experience with Spring Framework, web services, and APIs.
- Experience developing in cloud environments, especially Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, preferably Google Kubernetes Engine, and Docker.
- Proven ability to design and architect complex, highly scalable, performance-driven applications.
- Interest in mentoring and influencing best practices among less experienced developers.
- Strong communication, collaboration, integrity, and ethical judgment.
