Responsibilities

  • Administer GitHub Enterprise Cloud at the enterprise and organization levels, including teams, roles, permissions, identity integration, access reviews, repository governance, applications, and tokens.
  • Configure and operate GitHub Advanced Security capabilities, including CodeQL scanning, secret scanning, Dependabot, and security reporting.
  • Design and maintain Terraform modules and platform infrastructure with disciplined state management and reusable module patterns.
  • Design and operate GitHub-hosted, larger, and self-hosted runners, including runners hosted on Kubernetes or Azure VM scale sets.
  • Build and maintain reusable GitHub Actions workflows, composite actions, workflow libraries, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and cloud deployment architecture.
  • Manage pipeline secrets, Azure Key Vault integration, OIDC federation, deployment approvals, protection rules, and software supply-chain controls.
  • Administer Azure DevOps organizations, projects, agent pools, service connections, and Pipelines, including GitHub migration or coexistence strategies.
  • Develop automation and integrations using GitHub REST and GraphQL APIs, and integrate GitHub with Entra ID, ServiceNow, Azure Monitor, Teams, and security tooling.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline, runner, and platform incidents; provide escalation support for GitHub-related production issues.
  • Evaluate AI-enabled development capabilities and define safe platform guardrails for Copilot, AI agents, and MCP services.
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, architecture decision records, and developer onboarding guides while collaborating with engineering, security, architecture, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or software engineering roles.
  • Experience administering GitHub Enterprise Cloud or Server at the organization or enterprise level in a multi-team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, and supporting production CI/CD pipelines with hands-on Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience.
  • Experience integrating source-control platforms with enterprise identity providers using SSO and SCIM.
  • Experience with GitHub Enterprise administration, repository governance, GitHub Actions, runner management, GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub APIs, GitHub CLI, audit logs, and enterprise reporting.
  • Experience with secrets management, OIDC federation, Azure Key Vault, Azure DevOps administration and Pipelines, containers, container registries, and Kubernetes familiarity.
  • Understanding of Git internals and branching, release, and versioning strategies.
  • Comfortable scripting in at least one of Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, documentation skills, stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working within Agile development teams.
