Software Engineering & Development (a/k/a Workday Integrations Specialist)

Responsibilities
- Build, implement, maintain, and enhance inbound and outbound integrations for Workday HCM, North America Payroll, and Time/Absence modules.
- Support integrations with internal and external vendors and participate in design, development, testing, release testing, and implementation activities.
- Create and maintain Autosys job schedules, monitor schedules and error logs, and troubleshoot file delivery processes.
- Build and maintain Unix shell scripts that execute NDM and SFTP file transfer commands.
- Troubleshoot production issues involving integration file creation and delivery and create action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Provide advisory support for new Workday integration release features and maintain system documentation.
- Partner with HR and internal and external vendors during integration development, testing, and deployment.
- Participate in GHR application onboarding governance and support data extraction and migration from legacy GHR applications.
- Support roles, permissions, entitlements, approval workflows, and identity and access management implementations for global HR applications.
- Provide project lifecycle support, including status reporting to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting human capital management and payroll systems.
- At least 3 years of Workday Integrations experience.
- Experience with Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, Document Transformation, XLST, XML, Workday EIB, Workday Connectors, SOAP, and REST APIs.
- Experience building and maintaining Workday calculated fields and integration system security.
- Experience building file-transfer Unix shell scripts and proficiency with Autosys and Job Information Language (JIL).
- Knowledge and experience using Network Data Mover (NDM) for secure file transfers.
- Strong Workday HCM and Workday security administration knowledge.
- Technical and working knowledge of Workday, PeopleSoft, and SailPoint.
- Competency across the software development lifecycle and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently and in team environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
