Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design, migration, and modernization of enterprise applications and data platforms on Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Design, build, operate, and modernize full-stack, microservices-based enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, SQL, PL/SQL, ReactJS, Material UI, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Implement scalable ReactJS user interfaces aligned with enterprise architecture and accessibility standards.
- Design secure, resilient microservices, APIs, containerized deployments, service-to-service communication, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and data protection.
- Define API-first standards for RESTful services, including versioning, documentation, error handling, and backward compatibility.
- Decompose monolithic applications into independently deployable microservices using domain-driven design and reusable integration patterns.
- Establish automated unit, integration, and performance testing and implement resiliency patterns such as retries, circuit breakers, health checks, and graceful degradation.
- Modernize Spark, Scala, and Hadoop workloads by transitioning data-processing workflows to PySpark on Azure Databricks.
- Architect event-driven integrations and near-real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka, Redis, and Azure Databricks.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Jenkins, Harness, and Azure DevOps.
- Support scheduling, batch processing, and enterprise messaging integrations using Autosys, CRON, and MQ.
- Monitor production applications, troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, tune backend queries, provide architectural guidance, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with product and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer or in another professional software development role.
- Five years of concurrent experience with collateral management or financial investment management domains.
- Five years of concurrent experience with collateral management platforms and solutions including Colline, Cassini, and Transcend.
- Five years of concurrent experience developing, migrating, and deploying cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Databricks.
- Five years of concurrent experience developing full-stack or microservices-based enterprise applications with Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS.
- Five years of concurrent experience with event-driven messaging systems and big-data technologies including Kafka, Spark, and Azure Databricks.
- Five years of concurrent experience configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, or Azure DevOps.
- Five years of concurrent experience tuning relational databases such as Oracle and managing batch-processing workloads with Autosys and CRON.
- Ability to provide architectural leadership, technical guidance, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
