Base Salary
$90k - $158k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, unit test, and implement medium- to large-scale software enhancements and solutions.
- Develop front-end and back-end functionality, operational workflows, and business solutions for complex requirements.
- Support Fixed Income and derivatives processing applications, including SUMMIT and State Street custom code.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Product Owners, technical staff, and cross-regional teams.
- Participate in design, functional and technical specification, code, automation, and SQA test reviews.
- Support change management, production deployments, system upgrades, and client- or regulatory-specific implementations.
- Troubleshoot mission-critical systems and maintain stable production and test environments across North America and EMEA.
- Conduct manual and automated unit testing and system integration testing with upstream and downstream systems.
- Contribute to development and test methodology improvements and use tools including GitHub and Jira.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience.
- 5 to 7 years of financial services industry experience developing solutions for portfolio management, trading, compliance, settlement, post-trade processing, accounting, pricing, accruals, or P&L calculations.
- Strong experience with Unix, shell scripting, application and database performance tuning, and Oracle technologies.
- Experience with C#, C++, Java, Python, J2EE, Tomcat, web services, distributed computing, Autosys, and related software engineering tools.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income products, processing, and interest rate derivatives is strongly desirable.
- Experience with SUMMIT and its upgrade implementation process is a plus.
- Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud technologies and experience migrating or implementing systems from on-premises environments to public cloud is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and complex problem-solving skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
