Responsibilities
- Update secure coding standards and provide secure code snippets as recommended practices.
- Continuously improve security guidance documents and Confluence pages for different engineering languages, architectures, and frameworks.
- Prepare and deliver security training sessions and engage with engineering communities.
- Develop patterns and guidance that help software development teams embed security into their work.
- Collaborate with security subject-matter experts, communities of practice, and the Community of Security Champions to educate teams about security risks and mitigations.
- Research security standards and technologies, including AI security, and translate findings into security awareness for engineers.
- Participate in threat modeling sessions to help application teams identify and mitigate threats during the design phase.
Requirements
- Knowledge of security standards including ISO 27001, OWASP Top 10, encryption, security certificates, authorization and authentication, configuration, and STRIDE.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle processes and tools used by developers.
- Strong application security culture and experience, with the ability to spread security awareness across teams.
- Knowledge of software development and coding is beneficial, particularly Java and Java frameworks.
- Ability to interact with numerous teams and influence developers to adopt secure practices in their daily work.
- Proven ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
