Base Salary
$173k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead cybersecurity technical, policy, strategy, assessment, and workshop activities for government agencies.
- Develop and implement security strategies for MITRE sponsors and programs.
- Lead cybersecurity risk management using relevant frameworks and methodologies.
- Conduct Security Controls Assessments, workshops, and audits for internal teams and partner organizations.
- Contribute technically to sponsor tasks and collaborate with MITRE, government, contractors, managers, peers, and sponsors.
- Mentor junior professionals and promote collaboration across MITRE departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with ten years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- Demonstrated experience creating or analyzing policy at the federal department or agency level.
- Experience with RMF, NIST SP-800 series guidance, Zero Trust, and Security Controls Assessments.
- Experience in software engineering and systems engineering, including requirements analysis and technical writing.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, macOS, OpenBSD, or other operating systems.
- Active Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a graduate-level technical degree or 15 years of relevant experience, familiarity with IT, OT, TCAs, and NSS, cybersecurity analyst or systems/network engineering experience, SIEM experience, defensive cybersecurity and DoW Information Network operations knowledge, and certifications including CISSP, GPEN, GCIA, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Linux+.
