Responsibilities
- Engineer and support secure Windows platforms, AWS, and hybrid infrastructure for Connected Aircraft applications and associated ground systems.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for OEM Ground Support Equipment, including device configuration, application integration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
- Build and improve CI/CD, source control, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, and repeatable deployment practices.
- Maintain PKI, certificate lifecycle management, TLS, access controls, identity infrastructure, and secure connectivity.
- Develop PowerShell, Python, Shell, or similar automation to improve reliability, consistency, and supportability.
- Own monitoring, observability, incident response, problem management, and production readiness for business-critical 24/7 services.
- Lead testing, validation, and production deployment of aircraft application and platform changes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring while collaborating with Engineering, Digital, and vendor partners.
Requirements
- Significant senior experience in platform, infrastructure, cloud engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering in enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on Windows Server engineering and business-critical application support experience.
- Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience and secure cloud or hybrid architecture knowledge, including Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong security and identity infrastructure experience with PKI, certificate lifecycle management, TLS, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, and secure network connectivity.
- Strong scripting and automation capability using PowerShell, Python, Shell, or similar technologies, plus CI/CD experience, preferably Azure DevOps.
- Strong networking fundamentals covering DNS, DHCP, firewalls, routing, load balancing, and secure connectivity, with monitoring and observability experience.
- Experience supporting business-critical systems in a 24/7 environment, including incident response, root cause analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Linux administration and troubleshooting experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as Entra ID, Enterprise Applications, and Intune is advantageous.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant cloud, networking, or security certifications, including Cisco or equivalent network connectivity certifications, are advantageous.
- Solution Architecture or broader technical design experience is beneficial.
